“Open Kura 2103 Summer” Matsue Gonkuro shrine, Fukuoka, Japan
Pictured is a display at the shrine where local people gather to pray for the productiveness of grain. From the speaker inside the room, you can hear the sound that the ants make. Following the cord from the music mixer connected to the speaker, you can find a biscuit left on the ground and surrounded by numerous ants. By listening to the sound of ants eating a biscuit, this installation reminds us there is a living life besides human beings.
