This work was created in Malaysia. Malaysia once had “Look East Policy,” which aimed to learn from a Japanese and Korean sense of community and work ethics. The work seeks to question the current state of the country by combining this policy and traditional yeast products. Will Malaysia keep developing by looking at “East” or find “Yeast” that is necessary to produce a unique fermented product of its own?
